Jump Rope for Heart

On Friday, March 14, 2008 Arlington Classics Academy students will fight heart disease and stroke with Jump Rope For Heart.

The fun starts with:

Kindergarten, 5th, and 6th grade at 8:30 am,

2nd & 4th grade at 9:30 am, and

1st & 3rd grade at 10:30 am so make plans to join us!

This popular event takes place in other schools all over the country.  Students jump rope and collect donations from their friends and family.  Our efforts help other kids and adults who may have heart disease or stroke.

This is a participation grade for all students.  Pledges are optional.  Students who raise a certain amount money will receive thank-you gifts.

Jump Rope for Heart is a school fitness and education program.  It teaches the value of cardiovascular fitness while raising money for research into heart disease and stroke.  These diseases are our nation's No. 1 and No. 3 killers.

WE NEED PARENT VOLUNTEERS!  If you are interested in volunteering please contact Coach Heard or Christine DiGiorgio.

Students attire: FIELD TRIP SHIRTS, FREE DRESS PANTS/SHORTS and ATHLETIC SHOES.

Permission slips due March 13.  No exceptions

Thank you all your efforts,

Coach Heard
